Tonight I went to the Dubai Rugby Sevens with Karen and Karri. It is an all day 3-day event @ the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens arena.
So fun. 160 teams take part in the tournament from December 3-5. As a spectator, the arena takes on a carnival-type atmosphere with fans dressed up in rugby gear to all types of ridiculous costumes. it is an amazingly fun time. More than 30,000 fans attend and tonight we saw people cheering on their teams dressed up as nuns, boxers, turkeys, playboy bunnies, sheep, and the best of all, a lone whoopie cushion. The night also ended with a great cover band playing classic hits and my favorite Beatles and Paul McCartney songs.
tomorrow is the last day of the event and we'll be starting early to enjoy. Perhaps we'll dress up...
